Chinese influencers in Bangkok to promote Hua Hin

In a special feature highlighting Hua Hin, on December 26, Sudawan Wangsuphakijkosol, the Thai Minister of Tourism and Sports, greeted a significant group of Chinese media representatives and influencers in Thailand. This visit was a highlight of the Amazing Festive & Exclusive Trip in Thailand, running from December 21 to 28. The event was remarkable with the involvement of over 93 Chinese influencers, united in their goal to promote Thailand’s tourism, particularly focusing on the charm of destinations like Hua Hin, to their compatriots.


Chinese Tourists in Hua Hin

The influencers' journey encompassed various Thai locales, from the bustling streets of Bangkok to the serene beaches of Hua Hin, and further to Pattaya, Chiang Mai, Chanthaburi, Phang Nga, and Trat. Their mission was to create captivating content, showcasing the allure of Thailand, including the unique appeal of Hua Hin, as an ideal travel destination. This initiative aimed to boost tourism by attracting more Chinese tourists in the New Year and throughout 2024.


In her address, Sudawan highlighted the significant economic potential of the Chinese tourist market for Thailand, with Hua Hin being a key destination. She shared statistics showing that from the beginning of 2023 to December 20, Thailand had welcomed over 3.35 million Chinese tourists, with expectations to surpass 3.5 million by year's end. This news was reported by The Pattaya News.


The Thai government is keen on enhancing tourism aspects to ensure a high-quality, standardized travel experience, with a focus on destinations like Hua Hin. This effort aims not only to demonstrate the potential of Thailand’s tourism sector but also to solidify the nation's status as a globally renowned travel destination, as asserted by Sudawan.
