Hua Hin’s Five Michelin Key Hotels: What Each One Is For

Hua Hin has five hotels with a Michelin Key for 2026, and they have almost nothing in common except the award. One is a wellness retreat, one is a villa hotel a short walk from Cicada Market, and one is a 15-room hideaway in Pran Buri. Choosing between them is mostly a question of what you want from the weekend.

Michelin awards Keys for hotels the way it awards stars for restaurants. According to the Michelin Guide, the 2026 Thailand selection has 71 Key hotels, including six with three Keys, 22 with two and 43 with one. All five in the Hua Hin area hold a single Key, which Michelin describes as a very special stay, Thaiger reports. Chiva-Som and Devasom are new this year. Anantara, V Villas and Aleenta were recognised before.

We picked these five because they are the Hua Hin-area hotels on the 2026 Key list as reported by Thaiger. Facts below come from Michelin’s listings and the hotels’ own statements. We have not compared rates, which change by season.

Chiva-Som: for a proper reset

Chiva-Som Hua Hin is on Petchkasem Road in Nong Kae and has 54 rooms, per Michelin’s listing. Michelin’s inspectors say the spa treatments and health programmes are the main attraction, with the beach and restaurants in a supporting role. That makes it the least suitable for a party weekend and the most suitable for a week of sleep, treatments and structured wellness. Its own site, chivasom.com, lists the retreats.

Anantara Hua Hin: the classic resort

Anantara Hua Hin Resort & Spa is on Phet Kasem Beach Road. Michelin describes the design as inspired by an ancient Thai village and notes the view over the Gulf of Thailand, according to its listing. It is the largest of the five in Michelin’s listing, which counts 187 rooms on one page and 171 in its text, so check the current figure. Choose it if you want a big spa resort with the town on your doorstep.

V Villas: private pool, short walk to Cicada

Michelin’s V Villas entry describes villa suites that each have a private pool and sundeck, with stocked wine fridges and a personal butler. It also notes that Cicada Weekend Market is a short walk away. That suits couples and small groups who want privacy and a night out on Suan Si without a taxi. See V Villas Hua Hin for the hotel’s own description.

Devasom Hua Hin: small, old-style and Thai-Victorian

Devasom Hua Hin is a family-owned boutique resort that opened in 2010. It has 24 sea-view rooms and villas in the Thai-Victorian style of Siamese summer mansions, according to a press release carried by ThaiPR. Thaiger places it near Cha-am. The restaurant, PRIBPRI Heritage Table, cooks family recipes from Phetchaburi province. The hotel also runs a Heritage Drive in a vintage car through the town’s past, and it has a listening lounge that plays vinyl. Details are on the Devasom site.

Aleenta: the escape

Aleenta Resort & Spa, Hua-Hin is at Pak Nam Pran in Pran Buri, roughly 20 miles south of Hua Hin, and has 15 rooms, Michelin says. Michelin calls the beach secluded and notes that the property began as a family holiday villa. Of the five, it is the best match for people who want quiet more than town. Book via aleenta.com.

How to choose

Match the hotel to the weekend:

  • Reset: Chiva-Som.
  • Resort with everything: Anantara.
  • Couple’s weekend near the market: V Villas.
  • Small and characterful: Devasom.
  • Quiet and far from the town: Aleenta.
