A short list for Monday: one date to note on the old beachfront by Hua Hin Fishing Pier, one race to sign up for, one property data point and one party to plan.

Beachfront cut-off on Thursday

Water and electricity to the buildings being cleared between Hua Hin Fishing Pier and the Chao Mae Thap Thim Shrine are due to be cut on Thursday 29 October, Thaiger reports. The contractor’s 120-day agreement runs to 22 January 2027. Our running timeline tracks each step, and the full report has the background.

Trail run opens for registration

The HUAHIN50 Trail Run returns on 16 and 17 January 2027, Daily News reported after a press launch at Market Village. It is the second edition, and the route climbs three local hills: Khao Hin Lek Fai, Khao Hin Thoen and Khao Yai.

Saturday 16 January is a 3 km family fun run from the Tap Tai Chaloem Phra Kiat public park. Sunday 17 January has 11 km, 25 km and 50 km trail distances. Organisers expect at least 2,500 runners, and registration is open.

Villas: strong sales, slow stock

New villa sales in Prachuap Khiri Khan rose 175% in the first half of 2026, to 121 units worth ฿1.57 billion, according to Real Estate Information Center data summarised by Positioning. Supply jumped 88.7%, so 615 villas worth ฿9.8 billion are still unsold, at an average of ฿16 million each.

The spread by area is wide. Positioning singles out Tap Tai to Pran Buri as the fastest-selling zone. It flags Khao Takiab as a risk, estimating that its ฿20 million to ฿40 million villas would take about 28 years to clear at the current pace. Overall home transfers in the province fell 6.3% in the half.

Halloween on the sand

The Standard, Hua Hin throws its Halloween beach party on Saturday 31 October, from 5pm on the beachfront lawn. Tickets are ฿450 in advance and ฿550 at the door, DJs run from sunset to close, and there is a costume competition. Details are in our event preview, and tickets are on the organiser’s page.
