Hua Hin Briefing: Friday 6 November
Rain gauges in Hua Hin read light this morning, Ezy’s Surat Thani flight starts on Saturday, a ten-day product fair runs behind Blueport, and the Rama 2 roads get a New Year timetable.
Friday’s notices open with the rain numbers, which are modest so far, then move to a new flight, a fair on Soi Hua Hin 102 and some Bangkok-end roadworks. The Loy Krathong date and tonight’s plans close the briefing.
Gauges still light in Hua Hin
The Hydro-Informatics Institute’s ThaiWater network shows that none of the 18 gauges in Hua Hin district recorded more than 6.5 mm in the 24 hours to about 06:00 on Friday. The highest reading was at the Nong Phlap municipal station. The wetter patch was further south in the province, where a station at Bang Saphan Noi logged 18.8 mm.
The Thai Meteorological Department’s forecast for the 24 hours from 18:00 on Thursday still lists Prachuap Khiri Khan among the provinces with heavy rain in places, Bangkok Biz News reports. Its warning says the south gets more rain from 7 to 9 November. Check conditions before driving or heading to the beach this weekend.
Ezy’s Surat Thani flight starts Saturday
Ezy Airlines is due to launch Surat Thani to Hua Hin flights on Saturday 7 November, AeroRoutes reports. The Cessna leaves Surat Thani at 09:00 and lands at Hua Hin Airport at 10:30. It flies back at 13:20. The schedule runs on Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays only, so a round trip from Hua Hin needs a night away.
Product fair behind Blueport until 13 November
The “Thai Help Thai Plus 60/40 Product Fair” runs from 4 to 13 November behind Blueport Hua Hin Resort Mall on Soi Hua Hin 102, Hua Hin Localplus reports. The district office and the provincial commerce office organise it with community enterprises and OTOP groups. It is built around community products, local produce and cost-of-living discounts under the government scheme.
Rama 2 roads get a New Year timetable
Transport Minister Pipat Ratchakitprakarn has set out the road openings the ministry wants done for the New Year holiday, Hua Hin Localplus reports. The Department of Highways is widening the Ban Phaeo exit on the toll-free M82, where a single-lane elevated ramp has become a bottleneck, to two lanes. The elevated Rama 3, Dao Khanong and Outer Ring Road link is due to open for trial use on Rama 2 Road in December, with its toll booth targeted for mid-2027. Loy Krathong falls on 24 November
The Tourism Authority of Thailand puts the Loy Krathong season at 15 to 29 November. The full moon falls on Tuesday 24 November, it said on Thursday. Our events calendar lists the Hua Hin celebrations as they are confirmed.
