Hua Hin Briefing: Sunday 1 November
A first demolished house on Naresdamri Road and where its contents go, a new vintage market at Blúport, local backing for the daily Chiang Mai flight, and the week ahead.
Sunday starts with the beachfront demolition, a new market at Blúport and a note on the Chiang Mai flight. The week ahead is below, and the events calendar has the rest.
Naresdamri Road: house no. 23 comes down first
Hua Hin’s mayor, Nopporn Wuttikul, took machinery onto Naresdamri Road on 31 October, between the Hua Hin fishing pier and the Chao Mae Thap Thim Shrine, Daily News reports. House no. 23, whose owner agreed to the work, was the pilot building and was more than 70 percent demolished.
Items recovered from the building are being logged and stored at the municipal machinery depot on Soi Hua Hin 102. Owners have 30 days to collect them, after which the municipality says they will be sold at public auction. Notices giving the demolition date are posted on the buildings whose owners have not cooperated, and officials say they may cut locks if access is blocked. The full sequence is on our beachfront demolition timeline.
A vintage market opens at Blúport
A new secondhand and vintage market, Select Vintage Market, has opened on floor B of Blúport Hua Hin, according to a Nation TV press release. It lists clothing, collectibles, home decor, vinyl records and toys, and opens daily from 10:00 to 20:00.
The mall’s separate air-conditioned Ta-lat Khao-tha market, with new and secondhand clothes and food stalls, runs on floor 3 every Wednesday and Saturday from 11:00 to 19:00, the same release says. Both are promotional descriptions, so treat the stall mix as the organiser’s word until you have walked it.
Tourism association backs the Chiang Mai flight
The Hua Hin–Cha-am tourism business association has welcomed Thai AirAsia’s daily Hua Hin to Chiang Mai service. Its president, Kitipong Siriphetkasem, called it an important step for hotels, restaurants and local operators, Siamrath reports. Flight times and the winter schedule are in our earlier report, and the new Hua Hin to U-Tapao flights are covered separately.
The week ahead
The big date is Friday 6 and Saturday 7 November, when Glamping Festival 2026 takes over Arena Hua Hin Sports Club. Gates open at 15:30 and music starts at 16:00 on both days, with a two-day ticket at ฿1,500, Daily News reports.
