Saturday is Halloween, so most of today is about tonight. Our Halloween After Dark preview and the tonight page cover the parties. Here is what else matters.

Halloween on the beachfront lawn

The Standard, Hua Hin starts its Halloween beach party at 17:00. Tickets are ฿450 in advance and ฿550 at the door, according to the hotel, with a costume competition for the two best-dressed guests.

Naresdamri Road was closed on Friday

Officials closed Naresdamri Road between the fishing pier and the Chao Mae Thap Thim Shrine on 30 October while machinery moved in, Siamrath reports. It has not said whether the closure continues. Check before driving it, and follow every step on the beachfront demolition timeline.

A daily flight to Chiang Mai

Thai AirAsia flies Hua Hin to Chiang Mai every day from 25 October to 27 March, up from four days a week. The ministry gave the times (flight FD 3901 leaves Hua Hin at 14:40), as Daily News reports.

National hotel closures rise

Hotel and accommodation closures across Thailand rose 42 percent in the first nine months of 2026, with 148 closures registered and new registrations down 31.2 percent to 779, Thaiger reports. The figures come from the Department of Business Development via Kasikorn Research Centre. Hua Hin Localplus ran the same data. Neither gives a Hua Hin or Prachuap Khiri Khan breakdown, so this is a national backdrop, not a local count.

A new hotel opens

Base Camp Hotel Hua Hin held its opening ceremony on 16 October, Hua Hin Localplus reports. It says the hotel can host more than 50 guests and aims at sports fans, families and student groups. The article gives no address, owner or room rates.

Two dates for November

The third Deepavali Festival Hua Hin is on 7 November at 16:00 in the third-floor event space at Market Village, built around a Lakshmi worship ceremony, according to the organiser’s release on Newswit. The free-entry Hua Hin Expo runs on 14 and 15 November at Hua Hin Convention Centre, Blúport, with more than 100 booths. The full list is on the events calendar.
